Charles Harbin III Memorial Scholarship
The CJH3 Memorial Scholarship was formed in the Fall of 2011 to remember the life of Charles John Harbin, III by providing financial assistance to help college students with limited financial resources achieve high academic goals. The application deadline is April 22, the number of awards is 3, and the maximum awards amount is $1,500.
The CJH3 Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to selected students with ? of the award given at the beginning of the academic year and ? given at the midpoint of the academic year, upon maintaining GPA requirements and enrollment as a full-time student. All grants must be applied to tuition and fees only and will be paid directly to the institution.
-High school seniors entering college and returning college students attending accredited U.S. colleges or universities -Awards may only be used for undergraduate study and are limited to those seeking a first bachelor's degree
-Applicants must have at least a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale if you are currently a senior in high school or, if are already enrolled at a college or university, you must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
-Applicants must demonstrate financial need
-Applicants must be a resident of the state of Georgia; however, award recipients may attend college anywhere in the United States
-Applicants must demonstrate a history of pursuing goals and aspirations with integrity, resolution, self-discipline and sound judgment, and a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society
