Baxalta Education Advantage Scholarship
Education Advantage is a scholarship program designed to help people with bleeding conditions pay for school and continue their education. It can be a great start on the road to developing your career and getting involved with the community. The maximum awards amount is $28,000.
-University scholarship: if you're working toward your bachelor's degree, you could be eligible for a $7,000 scholarship award, renewable for up to three additional years
-Community college and technical scholarship: if you're seeking an associate's degree or pursuing a technical/vocational certificate program, you could be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship, renewable for up to one additional year
-GED assistance: if you pass the GED test, you could be eligible for a one-time $150 reimbursement
The program is open to anyone with hemophilia A or B (factor VIII or IX deficiency), including those with inhibitors, regardless of which brand of treatment they use. Students with von Willebrand disease are eligible to apply.
