A Voice for Animals Contest

The Humane Education Network is pleased to announce its Annual A Voice for Animals High School Contest with prizes totaling $5,900 across several categories (video, essay). The maximum award amount is $650.


Eligibility:

    • Participants must currently be attending middle or high school, or be home-schooled and under 19 years of age on the date the contest opens for entries.

    • The contest is open to all otherwise eligible students worldwide regardless of nationality, citizenship or country of residence.

     

    Selection criteria:

    • Entrants in the 14-15-year-old section are invited to write an essay that addresses either the mistreatment of one animal species or one cause of animal suffering, or the preservation of one species threatened with extinction, occurring anywhere in the world, and potential solutions to alleviate animal suffering.

    • Entrants in the 16-18-year-old section must become involved in a project (new or pre-existing) that addresses either the mistreatment of one animal species or one cause of animal suffering or the preservation of one species threatened with extinction, occurring anywhere in the world. Students must submit either 1) a written essay with accompanying photos or 2) an original video.
